Used to be proud Pakistani!

Growing up in Europe I was taught that Pakistan was made for Muslims. I felt sooo proud! The FIRST nation in the history of mankind to take a stand for Islam! Wow we must be great muslims to travel thousands of miles, leaving all and everything behind, only for the pursuit of our religion!

So how come the offspring of these great people, became so corrupt?

Corrupted with power?
Corrupted with money?
Basicly corrupted with greed, of all sorts!

How and why did we lose our muslim nation to plain greed?

But more importantly: HAL KYA HAI:

How do we become less corrupted? Less greedy, nicer, softer and better people... a better nation?

I think we need to be less harsh towards other, be it your housekeeper, or the guy at the tank station. If someone takes advantage of you and your goodness, let it pass. Don't make it a point. Inshallah Allah will replace what was taken with something bigger and better. Think this person might need it more than me. Alhamdolillah Allah has given us so much, that mostly we can afford to lose some of it.

This doesn't mean leaving your door open at night! Or not listening to your inner voice, saying something is off here. It means just lighten up! Be thoughtful and kind. It means expecting honesty and gentleness, and giving the same!

Zara soocho agar sab pakistani aise hote to Pakistan kaisa hota!

A soon to be proud pakistani!

Humara Pakistan....

Humara pakistan....

I am a Pakistani born and raised in Europe. My parents have done an excellent job in raising us with Islam, Logic and Love of all things Pakistani.
Thanks to our upbringing I had a lot of questions both about what it means to be Pakistani and why things are the way they are. We started out by being admired by our neighbours for our honesty and hardworking nature. Unfortunately we went from feeling proud to be Pakistani to feeling ashamed for every bomb blast that happened. I felt responsible and accountable for everything going on in Pakistan. Over time I started  feeling more and more frustrated about how thing were rapidly changing in Pakistan for the worse.

There is such a vast difference between as I have seen Pakistan, and what my son is seeing, one would think it’s not even the same country.  After years of contemplating about problems in Pakistan, I started thinking: To hal kya hai? How can we make Pakistan the place I remember?  Or inshallah even better than that?

Together we Can make a change, perhaps not in a day, or even in a year. But hey it took us over 30 years to get to this point. SO hal kya hai? Hal yeh hai ke hum sab mil ke hal nikalen. New thoughts idea's and solutions. One step at a time, to change the thoughts and actions of our people. Kabhi to pathar pe pani ka assar hoga! One kind deed at a time! Perhaps then our Pakistan will become what Alama Iqbal envisioned!

Inshallah!
